Hand Dyed Fabric

A dark and deep red, with light mottling. The colours are darkest and richest on the plain aidas and the plain evenweaves, so much lighter on the opal evenweaves. We've been meaning to dye a rich red for a long time (but have been a bit scared!) and
hopefully this one hits the spot.

All fabrics are dyed using Zweigart base fabric and fibre reactive dyes and the edges of the fabric are serged to prevent fraying. Cut sizes are measured before dyeing and some fabrics do shrink up during the dye process. 

Aida / opal aida - 18" x 21" pieces.
Evenweave / opal evenweave / linen / opal linen - 18" x 27" pieces.

Fabrics are not guaranteed colourfast or lightfast. 

Some fabric types, and even counts, take the dye differently resulting in some types dyeing richer, darker or more mottled. Please see the photograph for how each fabric dyed.
